Mother and child

Giving birth

You can give birth here, in our maternity room, with a midwife.

Open every day, 08:00 to 21:00. Lugoba Road, Nansana.

You can give birth at Shalom Clinic. Babies are born in the room for mothers and babies (the maternity room), with a midwife on staff and a doctor at the clinic. When the pains start, come to the front desk or call us first so the team is ready. The midwife examines you, checks the baby's heartbeat and stays with you through labour.

After the birth, you and the baby rest in the maternity room while the team watches you both. Before you go home, the midwife explains how to care for yourself and the baby. You go home with a printed note of your stay, and we phone you in the days after.
