No. Most people come without booking. Tell the front desk you are here, and you will be seen in turn.

Tell the front desk you are here. The nurse checks your blood pressure, temperature, pulse and weight. Then the doctor comes to your room, listens, examines you and explains.

If you need a test, it is done here in our lab, and you get the result the same day. You get your medicines from our dispensary, and we explain each one before you leave.

Bring an ID, or anything else that shows who you are. Also bring any old test results, and any papers from a doctor about your medicines. We also need a phone number we can reach you on.

English, Luganda, Lusoga and Swahili. Two patient interpreters work at the front desk.

Yes. Our dispensary, where you get your medicines, is inside the clinic. When you get your medicines, we explain each one before you leave.

Injections, drips and breathing treatment (a nebuliser) are given by the nurse here at the clinic, when the doctor says you need them.

Yes. We have short stays for people who need the nurse and doctor to keep watching them. The nurse and the doctor come to check on you while you stay. You go home with a printed note of your visit.

When you need care we do not offer, the doctor sends you to a hospital.

We do not do X-rays, heart tests (ECG), CT scans, heart scans (echocardiogram) or operations.

Yes. We phone you 2 to 5 days after your visit to ask how you are. If you need to be seen again, we can book a check by the nurse.

Call us if anything changes before then.

Ten tests, done here at the clinic: full blood count (CBC), malaria test, typhoid test, urine test, ulcer test (H. pylori), HIV test, hepatitis B test, syphilis test, pregnancy test and scan (ultrasound).

Most results are ready the same day.

Yes, for most tests. You can eat before the full blood count, malaria, typhoid, HIV, hepatitis B, syphilis, urine and pregnancy tests.

For a scan (ultrasound) or the ulcer test (H. pylori), ask us how to get ready. Ask at the desk or on WhatsApp before you come.

The malaria and HIV tests use a finger prick. For the full blood count, typhoid, hepatitis B and syphilis tests, we take a little blood from your arm. For the urine test and the pregnancy test, you give some urine. A scan (ultrasound) needs no sample.

Yes. We do pregnancy scans. We also scan the stomach area, the lower belly, the kidneys and bladder, the liver and gallbladder, the thyroid in the neck, the breast, the testicles (scrotum), and lumps and swellings under the skin.

Yes. You give birth in the room for mothers and babies (the maternity room). We have a midwife on staff, and we do pregnancy scans here.

Yes. The midwife sees you for your pregnancy checks, and we do pregnancy scans here at the clinic.

The tests you need in pregnancy, such as the full blood count, HIV, hepatitis B and syphilis tests, are all done here in our lab.

Yes. It is a urine test that shows if you are pregnant, done here in our lab. Come to the front desk and ask for it.

Yes. A parent or guardian comes with the child. The nurse checks the child first. Then the doctor sees you both in your room.

Not at the moment. We do not take insurance, and there is no copay (a part-payment through an insurer). Ask at the desk or on WhatsApp if this changes.
